Bell+ is built to keep core schedule features local when possible, while still offering optional server-backed features like Sign in with Apple, coins, theme and icon syncing, referrals, bug reports, and remote notifications. This privacy policy explains what Bell+ stores on your device, what Bell+ servers collect when you use those features, and which third parties are involved.
TL;DR: You can use Bell+ for school schedules without creating a Bell+ account. If you sign in, watch rewarded ads, submit bug reports, or enable server-backed notifications, Bell+ stores the account, support, and device-token data needed to run those features. Some Bell+ website pages also use Google Analytics. We do not sell your personal information.
Bell+ does not ask for your phone number, home address, contacts, precise location, photo library, microphone, health data, or social media login. Bell+ does not store your Apple ID password, and Bell+ does not sell your personal information or share it with data brokers.
The Bell+ iOS app also does not include a third-party analytics SDK beyond Google Mobile Ads for optional rewarded ads. School schedule browsing does not require a Bell+ account.
Bell+ stores a significant amount of app state locally using on-device files, app-group storage, iOS preferences, and the iOS Keychain. Local storage can include:
Your selected school, cached school schedule and calendar data, custom period names, bell-delay settings, after-school events, onboarding state, and related schedule preferences.
Your active and owned themes, active and owned app icons, custom emoji and color choices, VIP badge display settings, coin balance cache, recent local transaction history, referral history cache, and theme or pricing cache files used for faster loading.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Bell+ may store your Apple app-specific user identifier, display name, and email address on your device, along with Bell+ session tokens in the iOS Keychain so you can stay signed in.
Bell+ stores your local period-notification preference, Live Activity preference, bug-report push toggle state, app badge state, and widget or watch sync data such as the selected school and schedule names.
Bell+ stores a persistent bug-report reporter token on your device and may cache recent technical diagnostics locally so support requests can be tied to your existing inbox thread.
Bell+ uses public and authenticated service endpoints, including endpoints made available through bell.plus, to deliver school data and optional account-linked functionality. Access to those services may involve the processing of ordinary request and routing information customarily associated with internet communications and service administration.
When you select a school, Bell+ retrieves bell schedules, calendar events, and related timetable materials that are generally educational or institutional in nature and are not, by themselves, intended to identify you.
If you elect to use Sign in with Apple or other server-backed Bell+ features, Bell+ may process and store account-related records, which may include the following categories of information:
Bell+ does not receive or store your Apple account password. Use of Sign in with Apple is not required to browse schools or access the core schedule functionality of the app.
If you submit a support request, bug report, or related in-app communication, Bell+ may process and retain information reasonably necessary to receive, classify, review, respond to, moderate, reward, or otherwise administer that submission.
If you choose to include diagnostics, Bell+ may receive technical and configuration data sufficient to investigate the issue presented. Depending on context, this may include app, device, locale, storage, account, notification, schedule-configuration, connectivity, and error-state information, together with records of recent service interactions and diagnostic snapshots.
Bell+ may also use internal workflow notifications or equivalent operational notice mechanisms in connection with support administration and response handling.
Bell+ may use both local device notifications and remote notification services in connection with app functionality, account administration, and support workflows.
You may disable notifications through Bell+ settings or iOS settings, subject to any applicable platform behavior. Live Activities, where available, remain subject to device and operating-system controls.
Bell+ relies on a limited number of third-party providers where operationally necessary, including providers involved in platform authentication, notification delivery, advertising, hosting, storage, traffic management, and certain website measurement activities.
Any data those services collect is also governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Rewarded advertising within Bell+ is optional and presented only in designated app experiences. Bell+ does not provide your Apple account password to advertising providers, and Bell+ does not intentionally disclose your Bell+ session credentials to Google AdMob.
For more information about how Google collects and uses data, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google AdMob's documentation.
Bell+ uses a combination of local device storage and server-side records for feature delivery, support, service security, and account continuity.
Bell+ is designed for students; however, certain optional features, including account-linked features, notifications, rewards, and support workflows, may involve limited personal data such as identifiers, technical routing information, and support communications. Bell+ does not knowingly seek information from children beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the applicable Bell+ functionality. A parent or guardian may contact Bell+ regarding assistance with server-side data removal requests.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If we make significant changes, we'll notify users through an in-app announcement or update notes.
Depending on the feature used and the jurisdiction applicable to you, Bell+ may afford choices and controls such as the following:
